Bridging the gap: Bozeman’s first Spanish-language magazine Voz Latina aims to connect growing Latino community

When traveling to another state or country where English is widely spoken, it’s easy to take for granted how effortlessly one can immerse in the culture — from reading maps and road signs to communicating with nearly any stranger encountered.
In contrast, for individuals moving to a state like Montana from regions such as South or Central America, where English isn’t commonly taught or spoken, the experience can be vastly different. Basic tasks like scheduling vaccine appointments, securing housing or enrolling in school can quickly become overwhelming and isolating.
However, Bozeman’s first Spanish-language magazine, Voz Latina, is working to bridge this gap.
