Biden wants to produce more heat pumps and solar panels. He’ll need to stimulate demand, too

President Joe Biden authorized using the Defense Production Act to make more solar panels, heat pumps, and hydrogen. But production is only one step to accelerate the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy.
