Next week, Montana Gov. Steve Bullock is expected to join the already jammed Democratic field for president, following Gov. Jay Inslee of Washington and former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, among many other candidates.
Perhaps Bullock can boost the share of support that governors are taking in early polls. Inslee and Hickenlooper are averaging a meager 1 percent — combined.
