Apply for a Boise State intern that you don’t have to pay

Attention all small business owners and non-profits! Could you use the help of an intern? One you don’t have to pay?

Bronco Corps is back for a third summer and is now accepting applications. If you haven’t heard of the program, it’s a win-win for both the employer and intern. Boise State’s College of Business and Economics selects small local businesses and/or non-profits, supplies them with an intern, and pays for the intern’s wages at no cost to the business owner. Interns provide finance and accounting assistance, marketing strategy, data analytics and reporting, business operations, and more.

“This program has allowed organizations to elevate and advance their work during a significantly challenging time,” said Laura Chiuppi, who manages the program. “Interns have been noted by employers as being instrumental to the success of advancing programming and operations.”

Bronco Corps began in 2020 and was renewed in 2021. Thanks to an anonymous, generous donor, the program is back for the summer of 2022. The deadline for small businesses/ non-profits to apply is Monday, January 31.
