Job Category: Engineer

Areas of Expertise

· Research, design, and development using technical fields and disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, thermal and fluid transport, hydraulics, materials, aerodynamics and thermodynamics.

· Design development of aircraft, electronics, and armaments for military and general aerospace.

· The scope of engineering activities includes basic data, preliminary design, detail design and continues through the completion of the design process.

· Engineering activities shall include the use of mathematics, material sciences (including composites), engineering mechanics, and graphic modeling to synthesize the arrangement and design of mechanical systems, electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems.

Typical Roles/Area of Focus

· Design/Analysis of Aircraft Structure and Systems

· Anticipated skills for statements of work in this category shall range from junior level engineer to and including senior engineer. Senior engineers may also assume project leadership roles.

· Responsibilities shall generally focus on one or more of the following:

· Mechanical Engineering

· Electrical Engineering

· Chemical Engineering

Level of Responsibility

· Responsible for multiple tasks within functional discipline or project

· Capable of applying their knowledge of the discipline

· Works with moderate guidance on projects with short-term focus or up to complete project leadership

· Has solid understanding of the fundamentals of the discipline

Qualifications

· BS in Mechanical Engineering or General Engineering

o Will consider all experience levels

· Experience in general aerospace design/analysis, composites experience a plus

· Fluent in CATIA V4 (10,000 hrs minimum for lead position) – For Design

· FiberSim experience

Engineering Design Center Job Descriptions

Job Category: Drafting / Design Analyst Area of Expertise · Analysis and drafting of assembly drawings or models, by using computerized interactive graphic equipment (CATIA) and working with design engineers and design teams.

· Prepare drawings, models, data packages, engineering master drawings or models, shop plots, geometric definition plots, engineering changes and schematics for complex propulsion system parts, assemblies or systems, electrical lines or schematics, electrical distribution systems, control panels and other electronic devices, based on layouts, sketches, blueprints, and CAD models.

· Develop design, drawing and model system standards, source approval and proprietary information documentation. · Check results for completeness, accuracy, compliance with standards and specifications for the release of drawings or models enabling fabrication.

Typical Roles/Area of Focus

· Design/Analysis of Aircraft Structure and Systems

· Responsibilities shall generally focus on one or more of the following: · General Mechanical Design.

· Drafting practices (ASME Y 14.5 or Mil-Std-100, or local equivalent).

· Product Data Management and Configuration Control (Mil-Std-973 or local equivalent).

Level of Responsibility

· Responsible for multiple tasks within functional discipline or project

· Capable of applying their knowledge of the discipline · Works with moderate guidance on projects with short-term focus · Has solid understanding of the fundamentals of the discipline

Qualifications

· AS/BS in Mechanical Engineering or General Engineering

o Will consider all experience levels

· Experience in general aerospace design/analysis, composites experience a plus

· Fluent in CATIA V4 (5,000 hrs minimum preferred) – For Drafting

· FiberSim experience – For Drafting
