Ag Technology show to host Ag inventors….$$ can be won!!
BILLINGS, MT — Ag invention contest entries are being accepted for the $1,000 Top
Inventor Award. The contest will be held during the Ag Technology Show January 23 –
25, 2003 in Billings, Montana at the Holiday Inn Trade Center. The contest is open to
inventors who have an idea, an innovation or an invention that has a farm and or ranch
application, and an invention that is commercially viable and original.
Deadline entry for the contest is November 29, 2002. “A jury committee will
select 14 finalists out of all of the entries submitted to the show organizers. The finalists
will be invited to display their idea or invention at the 3 day tradeshow free of charge,”
said Cynthia Berst, tradeshow producer. “A panel of 5 judges will select the $1,000 Top
Inventor Award and show attendees can vote for their favorite inventor for the People’s
Choice Award.”
Berst is emphasizing Ag inventions at the Ag Technology show because she
believes that the exposure for the inventor will gain them access to other companies and
government organizations that could show them how they could turn their innovation into
a possible revenue stream for their farm or ranch operation. “I got the idea for the
inventor’s contest from my dad who was always tinkering in the shop for new ideas,”
says Berst. “He came up with some good ideas and was able to market them for extra
money.”
A complete set of inventor rules and entry forms can be obtained by interested
inventors by writing to Cynthia Berst, Bright Cat Productions, PO Box 20044, Billings,
MT 59104-0044. “The invention or idea does not have to be patented, the jury committee
will accept drawings idea or photos of the prototype along with a written description of
the function and purpose of the invention.”
“This is going to be a fantastic tradeshow and inventor’s contest,” said Berst.
“Farmers, ranchers, exhibitors, attendees – everyone will have an opportunity to see the
newest, latest and greatest innovations that are up and coming or already in the
marketplace today.”
The Ag Technology Show is the place to be if you’re in the farming and ranching
community f or both Ag buyer and seller. The show will be opening at 10:00 a.m. and
closing at 6:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday and will close at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Exhibitors and attendees are expected to come from a large regional area. Both admission
