“After the Quiet” UM Western, Women’s Resource Center seek anonymous survivor stories for production

The University of Montana Western and the Women’s Resource Center are inviting survivors of domestic violence to anonymously share their experiences for “After the Quiet,” a community monologue production scheduled for November.

Organizers say the performance will feature original monologues inspired by survivors’ experiences after leaving abusive relationships, with a focus on healing, resilience and personal growth. Survivors are encouraged to submit an original anonymous monologue centered on a single meaningful moment from their journey, with selected stories potentially included in the production.

The performances are scheduled for Nov. 2 and 3 at Beier Auditorium on the Montana Western campus in Dillon. Organizers say the project is intended to raise awareness of domestic violence, encourage community conversations and honor the resilience of survivors.
