23 kegs of Community Brew to aid tsunami relief

In conjunction with the Zoo City Zymurgists homebrew club http://www.montanahomebrewers.org Big Sky helped brew and will sell a beer that won a club contest.

Named the Community Brew, the winning beer, a dunkelweizen created by Chad Newman, will be unveiled Thursday. Newman brewed 23 kegs at Big Sky Brewing, and the beer will be available in the company’s tap room until they’ve been drained.

Proceeds from sales of Missoula Community Brew will be divided between Community Focused Disaster Response, the organization helping to rebuild Komari, Sri Lanka, and the homebrew club.
