17 graduate from inaugural coding program at Montana State Prison

Seventeen inmates at Montana State Prison make up the first-ever graduates of a new computer programming class intended to prepare the cohort for life after incarceration.

“The Last Mile gave me hope when I had lost all hope of providing for my family, being a productive citizen and believing I had any purpose,” said Jerold Weller, who graduated from The Last Mile program with his peers on Thursday, in a news release from the state. ”
