It’s the 15th anniversary of the Humanities Montana Festival of the Book http://www.humanitiesmontana.org/programs/fob/2014/ and we’re celebrating October 9-11 in downtown Missoula with over 75 authors and 50 events.

The Festival of the Book is one of the biggest cultural happenings in the Northwest and this fall’s events will include the annual Festival Poetry Slam, a special Festival edition of the wildly popular storytelling event "Tell Us Something," a Festival-themed Family Friendly Friday at the Top Hat Lounge, a 15th Anniversary Gala Event, and a roster of best-selling authors, including James Lee Burke, Pete Fromm, Walter Kirn, Gwen Florio, and many others.

Some programming starts mid-week (see full schedule) but we’ll officially kick off with a special version of the popular storytelling event Tell Us Something, Thursday night at the Top Hat Lounge.
