The Big Sky Film Institute is seeking a visionary leader who can execute a world-class event, steer institute programs, and sustainably guide the organization into its next phase of growth. Since its founding in 2004, the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival has grown to become a prolific 10-day event and established itself as Montana’s premier cinema event and the largest documentary film festival in the American West. The year-round work of the Big Sky Film Institute conducts youth education programming, supports a diverse range of filmmakers, and builds empathy and understanding in our community. As we continue into our third decade of service, the BSFI is poised to continue growing our capacity. The ideal candidate shares the Institute’s dedication to amplifying underrepresented storytellers and being a steward of the land and community of Missoula.
