Tool time for turbines – Wind Turbine Tools of Lincoln, Montana

Jim Daugherty got into the wind turbine business by happenstance.

After starting an industrial supply company in 1990 in Temecula, Calif., where the wind industry was just starting to boom, he got a call from a wind turbine maintenance company that was having some problems with the tools they were using. They even had a maintenance technician who was injured after a wrench failed.

Daugherty did some research and found a few companies that make wind-turbine-specific tools and started supplying those tools.

Thus Wind Turbine Tools http://www.windturbinetools.com/ was born.
