Promoters hit funding goal to lure jobs to city
The Metro Denver Economic Development Corp. said Thursday that it nailed a goal to raise $12.5 million in cash.
Now comes the hard part: achieving the goal of 100,000 new local jobs in five years.
The public-private organization affiliated with the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce launched the funding campaign Christmas Eve 2003 to kick- start Denver’s lagging economy.
