Nearly 1,500 attend pro refugee relocation events throughout Montana

More than 1,500 people participated in statewide events Tuesday evening in response to the recent anti-Muslim and anti-refugee activity in Montana, organizers said.
Speakers included public officials, church leaders, human rights activists, refugees and those working on building refugee resettlement infrastructure in the state.
The Stand Against Violence, Fear and Hate Day of Action events were held at 5 p.m. in Billings, Bozeman, Helena and Missoula, organizers said. Speakers offered messages stressing compassion and inclusion.
