Montana preteens learn business essentials – Hands-on program focuses on earning, spending, saving
Lemonade stand profits come in two forms – the sweet gross profits in your hand at the end of the day and the sour net profits left over after you subtract the costs of supplies.
So learned a group of preteens participating Wednesday in a PBS program called Biz Kids at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Yellowstone County.
"Now, we’re going to make them think we have to pay for that sugar, we have to pay for those lemons, so it’s about making them take their thought process farther along," said Heidi Knudson, who runs the program for Altana Federal Credit Union.
