Haggen sues Albertsons for $1 billion over big grocery deal

Haggen is suing Albertsons for $1 billion, alleging the grocery giant hoodwinked the small Bellingham supermarket chain into buying dozens of Western U.S. stores to facilitate a merger with Safeway and then sabotaged Haggen’s entry into the new markets.
