Gov. Bullock talks possible tuition freeze for Montana colleges

Governor Steve Bullock is getting ready to ask the legislature for an extension on tuition freezes for all Montana colleges.

During the 2007 legislature, lawmakers, the governor and the Montana University System worked together to get a budget passed that allowed for a two-year state resident student tuition freeze. During the 2009 and 2011 sessions, there wasn’t a state funding package large enough to continue the freeze. In the 2013 session, another two-year tuition freeze was secured.
