Allegiant flying high: Airline named to Fortune’s ‘100 fastest-growing’ still not likely for Helena
October 2, 2011 /
Allegiant Airlines http://www.allegiantair.com/ is taking off — in more ways than one.
For the second straight year, Allegiant — which serves Missoula, Kalispell, Billings, Bozeman and Great Falls — has been named to Fortune magazine’s list of the "100 fastest-growing companies."
While larger airlines concentrate on sending flights from smaller locales to "hubs," like Salt Lake City or Minneapolis, Allegiant has a simpler approach for passengers: fly them directly to and from a limited number of popular destinations in the Southwest U.S. and Florida.
The concept is working.
