S&K Technologies and Positive Systems Land Sizeable Federal Contract

Whitefish, MT –The partnership between S&K Technologies (SKT) http://sktcorp.com/ and Positive
Systems, Inc. http://possys.com/ will once again benefit the local economy as the two Montana
based technology firms were recently awarded a $1.4 million dollar contract
with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

This contract is associated
with the USDA’s ongoing implementation plan to facilitate computer mapping
(Geographic Information Systems) at their 3,000 field offices. The work
associated with this contract is scheduled to be completed by the close of
2003 with a possible follow-on contract for additional work anticipated
early in 2004.

The specifics of the contract call for the SKT and Positive Systems team to
provide the USDA with a variety of digital mapping products including aerial
photography imagery and field boundary line drawings. These products
afford the USDA the ability to perform a variety of agricultural analysis on
features such as soil information, land ownership, land use, as well as to
monitor agricultural crop compliance. Positive Systems’ DIME® software will
be a key tool in delivering these products in the manner specified by the
USDA.

SKT’s corporate goals and objectives include facilitating the infusion of
new technology on the Flathead Indian Reservation and providing educational
and employment opportunities. As a direct result of the USDA contract, the
tribally owned enterprise plans to add several new positions thereby aiding
the fulfillment of stated corporate goals.

The contract will also require Positive Systems to increase its staffing.
Based on the nature of the contract, several computer technicians will be
needed to supplement the production team. The increase in staff may also
necessitate the expansion of facilities or a total relocation. The contract
also marks a significant financial milestone for the Positive Systems
organization, as the revenues generated will contribute significantly to
fiscal goals.
