Ambassador Max Baucus touts benefits of business with China

United States Ambassador to China Max Baucus told a group of Montana businessmen on Monday night that they have the opportunity to capitalize on business with China in the markets of energy, technology and tourism.

Montana’s former U.S. senator was in Helena speaking at the Montana Chamber of Commerce’s Manufacturing and International Trade Day banquet. The day’s event was organized by the Small Business Administration and brought in manufacturers from around the state to the Red Lion Inn to meet with federal and state entities that could potentially need contractors.

Montana’s growing manufacturing sector and the opportunities to sell locally made products to customers around the globe were touted at the banquet.

"I believe this U.S.-China relationship is by far the most important bilateral relationship in the world," Baucus said.
