Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) launches new website aimed at better communication

For state environmental regulators, terms like "non-point source pollution", "total daily management loads" and "bioremediation plans" are just part of everyday work.

Translating what that work means to the taxpayers of Montana is a big challenge, and the Montana Department of Environmental Quality says it’s taking steps to help communication including a new website http://www.deq.mt.gov/default.mcpx .

DEQ recently launched its website along with a new logo as part of a rebranding aimed at explaining to the public what the department does. The efforts began under former director Tracy Stone-Manning and former communication’s director Chris Saegar, but has continued since their departures.
