Montana Career Information System offers free career planning tool

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

The online Montana Career Information System https://mtcis.intocareers.org/materials/portal/home.html has tools and tips for everyone from grade-school students to Montana seniors everything from exploring career paths to looking for a new job.

"The program has been around since the ’70s in schools and on college campuses, but the cool thing is that in 2000, it became available for all Montanans, and it is free," said Annette Miller, the director of the Montana Career Information System.

Students can use the online guide to plan their classes and create post-high school plans, whether that involves going directly into the workforce or to college.
