Job description and abilities:

* Install, configure and maintain network services, equipment and devices and replace defective components when necessary

* Provide troubleshooting and customer service to users

* Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations

* Plan, coordinate and implement network security measures to protect data, software and hardware

* Monitor network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future

* Responds to Help Desk trouble tickets

* Be on call outside normal working hours for emergency network issues

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks
