Portland startup Treehouse eliminates the boss, tells workers to manage themselves

A lot of people hate their boss.
The folks at Portland startup Treehouse http://teamtreehouse.com/ hate the boss, too. Any boss. Every boss.
So, last summer, the company eliminated its mana ers altogether. The 61-person tech-education business converted almost everyone into a front-line worker. Treehouse gave all employees the authority to propose their own projects, to choose what they work on and to rate one another.
