This year’s Humanities Montana Festival of the Book will take place October 4-6 in Missoula. Join us for a three-day extravaganza, featuring a gala reading by Ivan Doig, Pam Houston and David Quammen, a joint presentation by Colin Meloy (of Decemberists fame) and Carson Ellis about their award-winning The Wildwood Chronicles series for young adults, a musical interpretation of James Welch’s The Heartsong of Charging Elk, and readings by many of the Northwest’s most interesting writers. As always, free and open to the public.
