Montana speakers shine at first-ever local TEDx event in Bozeman

schoolyard bully’s hurtful words inspired Melissa Wills’ dedication to helping girls.

"He called me a name — ‘bitch’ — that can only be referred to as a woman," the Bozeman High School senior said.

Wills was one of 20 people invited to speak at TEDxBozeman on Friday at the Emerson Center. She shared her story with a live audience as well as viewers watching the state’s first-ever TEDx event online.
