Wyoming earns mediocre grades on national report card – still better than neighboring states

Education in Wyoming ranks in the middle of the pack, according to a national report released this week.

The state scored 76.3 overall, a C grade, matching the national grade in the Quality Counts report by Education Week magazine, which calls itself American education’s newspaper of record.

Wyoming ranked ahead of neighboring states Colorado (73.7), Utah (72.4), Idaho (71.2), Montana (70.4), South Dakota (69.2) and Nebraska (68.6).
