TechLink wins national award

TechLink http://www.techlinkcenter.org , a federally funded technology transfer center at Montana State University, has been selected by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) for a 2010 Excellence in Economic Development Award.

TechLink won the “Technology-Based Economic Development” award for organizations in communities with populations of 25,000 to 200,000 residents. IEDC is the world’s largest organization representing the economic development profession. The award will be presented to TechLink at the 2010 IEDC Annual Conference in Columbus, Ohio.

TechLink helps the US Department of Defense, the InterAct partnership of the UK, and other organizations to commercialize leading-edge new technology by partnering their labs with private sector companies for technology licensing and research and development.
