New West awards $20K in healthcare scholarships to Montana students

Welcome to MEDA: Leadership Dedicated to Building Montana's Economy

The Montana Department of Health & Human Services reports that most Montana counties are experiencing a shortage of health care providers.

New West Health Services http://www.newwesthealth.com/ , Montana’s second-largest health services corporation, is trying to help address such shortages by awarding $20,000 in scholarships to 13 students.

The scholarships were awarded to students entering a healthcare field currently experiencing a shortage of professionals.

New West wants to encourage Montana students to stay and work in the state’s health industry.
