Golden Helix of Bozeman, Montana provides technology to make genetic medicine reality

Christophe Lambert, CEO of genetic analysis software company Golden Helix http://www.goldenhelix.com/ , is careful when he speaks about the business he founded in Bozeman 12 years ago. He knows his company’s combination of statistics, genetics and computer science is not exactly easy to explain.

His office boasts a giant computer screen and a whiteboard, which Lambert occasionally uses to illustrate some of the more complicated aspects of genetic analysis.

"Scientists around the world are trying to correlate genetic and environmental factors with diseases to increase drug safety and efficacy," Lambert said Thursday. "Genetic diagnostics and prognostics help us work toward preventative medicine."
