Neurosciencetists from throughout the U.S. gather in Seeley Lake, Montana

Neuroscientists from across the United States spent the weekend in Seeley Lake, taking part in an annual retreat that looked at the latest developments in brain research.

The neuroscientists and spoke on topics ranging from funding projects to developing ideas to create new drugs tailored to fighting diseases that affect the brain.

Montana has seen an increase in the interest placed on research in Neuroscience and the retreat focused on the research done by the University of Montana’s Neuroscience Center http://www.mnif.umt.edu/ .

"They’ve established a really world class neuroscience research program here in this state" said Mathew Ames, the Director of Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. "And it’s pretty hard to do anywhere these days let alone here."
