Bill Joy discusses techie role in limiting pollution

He rewrote large parts of the Unix operating system and made it fundamental to the Internet, co-founded Sun Microsystems and in 2005 joined Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, one of Silicon Valley’s oldest venture capital firms.
We need hard work from physics and chemistry and biology, and there’s not been that much change in most of these disciplines for a long time. It makes me worried. It’s enough to keep us busy.
