EAS flights to resume in 3 Montana cities

A Wyoming-based airline plans to renew Essential Air Service to Lewistown, Miles City and Sidney in early September.
The U.S. Department of Transportation has given Great Lakes Aviation permission to change the hub from Billings to Denver for those flights, which are to resume on Sept. 3.

Airline moves Essential Air Service hub to Denver
The federal Department of Transportation agreed Thursday to allow Great Lakes Airlines to make Denver, not Billings or Helena, its hub for federally subsidized flights to three rural Montana cities.
