Montana Tech teams place in international environmental design competition. "Converting biomass into useful forms of energy."

Two student teams from Montana Tech beat out national collegiate powerhouses to take second place in an international environmental design competition in New Mexico this month.
The 17 students spent months preparing for the WERC Environmental Design Contest, which asks teams to solve real-world problems by developing operational models.
Politely put, the first team’s problem stunk, said student Anna Carter.
Her group of nine tackled converting biomass into useful forms of energy.
