Teams ready for Idaho TechLaunch – Students had chance to make real-life analyses along with aspiring Idaho companies

Idaho students will compete for cash prizes next week during TechLaunch 2.0, a technology event that will showcase the work they did to find possible markets for inventions from the Idaho National Laboratory.

Two teams from Boise State University and one each from Idaho State University and Brigham Young University-Idaho will compete at Sun Valley Resort in Ketchum. TechLaunch started last year and included Idaho companies that presented their inventions and plans to bring them to the market.

This year, a student division was added as an effort to keep aspiring entrepreneurs in Idaho, said Ray Barnes, director of technology transfer and commercialization for INL.
