The Montana Agricultural Experiment Station has met the challenge set down by the Montana Legislature in 2001 — raise a million dollars and the state would match that amount. The money allows renovations and new construction at five of the station’s seven agricultural research centers.

In total, about 100 individuals and organizations contributed to making the match, said Jeff Jacobsen, director of the experiment station.

"We want to thank all of the individuals, businesses and organizations who have helped us meet this goal.
