Bidding about to start for transmission space on new power line
The builders of a proposed power line to Montana will begin auctioning space on the wires next month to Alberta generators looking to export electricity to the United States, the group said Wednesday.
Officials with Montana Alberta Tie Ltd. (MATL) said they are hoping to have the $95 million project operating as early as 2007 if the necessary regulatory approvals can be secured.
