Voice of the reader: Many people support kids’ computer projects

Computer 4 Kids extends a huge thank you for everyone who helped us with the Computers, Kids and More, computer camp held recently at MSU-Billings College of Technology. The two-day event was both educational and fun for the 47 kids who turned out to build and take home their own personal computers along with raffle prizes for each and every one who attended, thanks to United Way of Yellowstone County and the Office Depot stores of Billings.

We had over 130 interested families express an interest in C4K’s Learn to Earn program and future events are sure to be held; it’s hoped during the Easter break in March. C4K is also now completing work on the on-site learning center made possible with the many generous cash donations from the people who have supported our programs to get computers into the hands of as many children as possible.

It only goes to show what both private and public individuals can do to meet the needs of those less fortunate who would otherwise be unable to own their own personal computer. If you would like to help, more information is available at: http://www.computer4kids.us or you can call us at: 294-5437.

We thank all of the kids who attended the event. Organizers and volunteers were amazed at the knowledge and zeal that these kids showed, and we hope that they continue their education and thirst for knowledge.
