VoIP ventures forth – Qwest ready to jump into competitive Internet phone market

When Qwest Communications launches its long-awaited Internet phone services to residential customers in Colorado early this year, it will immediately face stiff competition.
More than a dozen providers, ranging from Vonage Holdings Corp. to AT&T, already are offering voice-over-Internet-protocol, or VoIP, services in selected areas along the Front Range.
