Tech group to push for venture capital, R&D tax credits

One of Maryland’s largest technology groups said it will push for research and development tax credits and new sources of early-stage venture capital when the Maryland General Assembly convenes next month.
The Tech Council of Maryland outlined its policy platform Thursday morning in a meeting with Gov. Robert Ehrlich in its Rockville headquarters.
Ehrlich reiterated a priority of his administration — "changing the perception that Maryland is unfriendly to business" — and said the state has the resources in place to be a national high-tech leader.
