Working women need to take charge, wake up their inner CEO

Vickie Milazzo was a young nurse when she saw her co-workers become burned out and frustrated with their jobs. Wanting a different future, she made several promises to herself. One of them was to live and work a passionate life.

Today, Milazzo is a successful businesswoman, running a multimillion-dollar company that trains nurses to become legal nurse consultants. She travels far and wide – another passion – and remains committed to helping other women become successful in their careers and their lives. She says that most women already are well-equipped to step into a leadership role in business.

”I do think that women are already CEOs,” she says.

”Women, probably more than men, run households. From managing finance to entertainment and even ‘janitorial detail,’ women have been running their family company for decades and getting little credit. I believe they can take those same skills and be successful running their own company."
