Women-owned businesses in Montana on the rise

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Women-owned businesses are on the rise, and according to the Census in 2021.

Statistics show 11% of Montana’s businesses were owned by women and in Helena, there is one woman-owned business focused on helping small businesses.
