‘Wildlife,’ a film set in 1960s Great Falls makes local debut Wednesday

A Great Falls audience will finally have a chance to see the new film "Wildlife," https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wildlife_(film) set in Great Falls and based on a Richard Ford novel.

Ford will be on hand for the screening of the film on Wednesday at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center.

Organizers said Ford, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, twisted arms to see Great Falls included in the film’s statewide tour. Though set in Great Falls, "Wildfire" was filmed in Livingston and Enid, Okla.

It’s the directorial debut for Paul Dano and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Carey Mulligan, Ed Oxenbould and Bill Camp.

The film is set in the 1960s.
