University of Montana loses finance vice president Mike Reid to college on Lake Tahoe

University of Montana vice president for administration and finance Mike Reid accepted a position at Sierra Nevada College on Lake Tahoe. His last day at UM will be Sept. 1.

His departure means three cabinet officials at UM will have interim status heading into the school year, including the top two leaders — president and provost. It also leaves open a critical position focused on budget at a time UM is working to overhaul its finances.
