The University of Montana announced this week it is launching an effort to support women called the S.E.A. Change Initiative, meant to foster an environment that is “safe,” “empowers” women, and “accelerates” them “into careers of impact.”

The initiative is linked to the centennial anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which provides that the right to vote “shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.”
