United begins direct flights between Houston, Williston, N.D.

At 12:58 p.m. Aug. 19, the first ever flight from Houston, Texas landed in Williston, N.D. United Airlines announced in May that a daily flight from Williston to Houston would be coming.

The inaugural flight had one open seat, with the flights for the rest of the week largely booked. The flight had a schedule arrival of 12:42 p.m. with a scheduled departure of 2:15 p.m., and will cost a passenger around $1,300.
