The Transmission Rate Of Covid-19 Needs To Decrease Before Schools Reopen, U.S. Surgeon General Says

As confirmed coronavirus cases in the U.S. near 4 million, U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams said Tuesday that the country needs to lower the transmission rate of Covid-19 in order to reopen schools despite pressure from the Trump administration.

“The administration’s strategy of prioritizing politics over science has had a devastating impact on our country throughout this pandemic. It should not make that same mistake when it comes to reopening schools,” Virginia Congressman Bobby Scott
