The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

The Mission

To contribute to Georgia ‘s economic growth by increasing opportunities for emerging Georgia-based small businesses to improve their operations and build business alliances. More established corporations will be able to build relationships with potential partners and suppliers.

Overview

The Governor’s Mentor Protégé Program is the first state-sponsored program of its kind. It was created to increase emerging small businesses’ odds for success by teaming them with prospering companies that have proven competencies in business, technology, and the development of sophisticated business solutions.
