design, manufacturing, testing, and management. My work has been in medical devices, in-line pipeline
inspection, X-ray systems, consumer products, and instrumentation and measurement.

•Responsible for all life science incubator operations (including Financial, Human
Resources, Development, Shop, and Wet Lab).
•Worked closely with and mentored incubator tenants and entrepreneurs in product
design and development, prototyping, commercialization, and business development.
•Worked closely with the USTAR team statewide to meet technology commercialization
goals.
•Worked closely and maintained a positive relationship with the Granite Technical
Institute (GTI) and Granite School District to ensure the GTI and the BioInnovations

machined, and thermoformed), metals (sheet, machined, and extrusion), packaging,
and complex assemblies.

•Lead Mechanical Engineer for multiple cost-saving projects involving critical image
chain components.(X-ray tube and Image Intensifier: projected $5M annual savings).
•Lead Mechanical Engineer for Vitality projects.
•Responsible for mechanical design changes and implementation for “install base”

•Managed a team for the analysis and revisions of all mechanical components for
compliance with the European directive on the Restriction of Hazardous Substances
(RoHS). Developed processes and training (internal and external) to “convert” over 2k
parts. Installed XRF (X-ray Fluorescence) analyzer for RoHS material testing, including
all site procedures, facilities, and training requirements.
•Led research and authored a research paper on the environmental compliance of steel
that demonstrated that steel meets RoHS compliance requirements based on
material properties and processing. This paper changed GE Healthcare’s approach to
environmental compliance for raw materials.
•Collaborated to write hardware verification plans and summary for system
remediation in response to an FDA consent decree. Lead Mechanical Engineer for FDA
remediation of three product lines.
•Responsible for system verification for shock and vibration requirements for hardware
systems. Developed new testing methods and led testing and verification for on-time
delivery of results.
•Provided expertise and evaluated Intellectual Property disclosures as a site Patent
Evaluation Board member.

sourcing foundation (reporting to Exec. VP of Supply Chain).
•Rewrote and implemented procedures and supplier scorecards for the corporate
