Student Assistance Foundation competing for grant

The Student Assistance Foundation’s "A Step Ahead" program is in the running for a $25,000 grant.

The College Prep Camp for foster youth is one of 200 causes from across the nation competing as a finalist in the State Farm Neighborhood Assist grant program.

The program allows foster youth to see what it’s like to attend a college in Montana.

"They get to take some mini-classes to see what college life is really like. Best of all each one of them leaves with a laptop computer that is theirs to keep and use for their post secondary education," explained SAF VP Student Activities coordinator Kelly Cresswell.

Vote for "A Step Ahead" at today through April 22. Supporters can vote up to 10 times per day.
